Travel with a ferry to the Greek Islands, from 05/07/2021

 We inform you that according to the Government Gazette 2879 / 02-07-2021 and the Press Release of Y.NA.NP of 02/07/2021, from Monday 05/07/2021 the movements to the islands and between the islands , will be allowed if passengers:

  • Have completed at least fourteen (14) days of COVID-19 coronavirus vaccination and demonstrate a vaccination certificate, or
  • Have been diagnosed negative either in a laboratory test for COVID-19 coronavirus by the PCR method performed by smear or nasopharyngeal smear within the last seventy-two (72) hours before the scheduled travel time or in a rapid anti-CO 19 (rapid test) within the last forty eight (48) hours before the scheduled travel time. Negative diagnosis of laboratory test by PCR and rapid antigen detection test is proven by the presentation of a relevant certificate, or
  • Demonstrate a disease certificate issued thirty (30) days after the first positive test and its validity lasts up to one hundred and eighty (180) days after it, or
  • Demonstrate a European Union vaccination certificate (digital COVID certificate) as well as third countries.

The following are excluded from the above obligation:

  • Minors up to twelve (12) years (born after 01/07/2009), while for minors from 12-18 years (born before 30/06/2009) the obligation is covered by a negative self test certificate from the guardian ,
  • Passengers who travel between different Regional Units for work purposes on a daily basis, can make their travels by performing a weekly self-test (self test),
  • Passengers traveling on ferry connections between islands of the same Regional Unit, can carry out their movements by conducting a self-test, either on a weekly basis, according to the generally applicable, or within twenty-four (24) hours before the scheduled travel time,
  • Minors from twelve (12) to seventeen (17) years old, can make their movements by performing a weekly self-test twenty-four (24) hours before the scheduled travel time.

In any case, the following applies to the boarding of passengers:

1.From the ports of mainland Greece (Piraeus, Rafina, Lavrio, Kavala, Volos and Thessaloniki) to the islands, the form “Pre-Boarding of Locating a Passenger” (Health Declaration Questionnaire before Boarding), must be completed by passengers and deliver it together with their ticket, showing the necessary documents either in electronic form through the website https://sea.travel.gov.gr/#/

or either in printed form,certifying the results of tests and vaccinations to the person in charge of the Financial Service during their boarding, before the departure of the ship.

  1. From the islands to the ports of mainland Greece (Piraeus, Rafina, Lavrio, Kavala, Volos and Thessaloniki), the form “Pre-Boarding of Locating a Passenger” (Health Declaration Questionnaire before Boarding), must be completed by passengers and deliver it together with their ticket, to the person in charge of the Financial Service during their boarding, before the departure of the ship.

 

  1. Between intermediate islands (eg, Rhodes-Symi, Rhodes-Kos, etc.), passengers are not required to present the form “Pre-Boarding Passenger Tracing” (Health Declaration Questionnaire before Boarding) however must show the necessary documents (either in electronic form through the website https://sea.travel.gov.gr/#/ or in printed form) with which they certify the results of tests and vaccinations to the person in charge of the Financial Service during boarding before the departure of the ship.
