1. In which international rail offers do Superfast Ferries and Blue Star Ferries participate in?

In the Adriatic Sea Routes, Attica Group (Superfast Ferries/Blue Star Ferries) participates (as a Full member) in the International Railway Unions EURAIL and INTER RAIL, offering FREE passage, in the common international railway tickets of TCV, BIJ, BIGT offering a reduced rate, in the special cards RAIL PLUS and in the special tariff offers GREECE – ITALY PASS, EURAIL “GREECE” PASS, EURAIL “ITALY” PASS, INTER RAIL “GREECE” PASS, INTER RAIL “ITALY” PASS, RIT, BALKAN FLEXIPASS, GREEK FLEXIPASS (RAIL N' FLY) and VERGINA FLEXIPASS offering a reduced rate. We also participate in DB AUTOZUG special offer for travellers who wish to transport their vehicle by train also offering a reduced rate and a complimentary gratis breakfast.

2. If I have a railway pass am I entitled to travel free onboard Superfast Ferries and Blue Star Ferries?

Yes, you are entitled to travel FREE if you are holder of a EURAIL card, a EURAIL Greece-Italy pass, an INTER RAIL Global Pass or an INTER RAIL Greece Plus Pass card.
The railway passes split into two different categories, Class A and Class Β. Class A railway pass holders who wish to travel with one of our vessels are entitled to travel FREE in dormitories with common shower and WC or Air Type Seats and Class B railway pass holders are entitled to travel FREE on Deck..

Holders of EURAIL “Greece” pass, EURAIL “Italy” pass, INTER RAIL “Greece” pass and INTER RAIL “Italy” pass are entitled to 30% discount on our full fare rates.

Attica Group is a member of the International Union of Railways (UIC), of the Common Passenger’s Tariff (TCV) and of the International Rail Transport Committee (CIT), for the sea transport of railway passengers between Italy-Greece and v.v. (sea connections Ancona/Bari – Corfu/Igoumenitsa/Patras) under the International legal regime of transport of passengers COTIF / CIV and participates as a full member in the following offers/cards:

INTER RAIL, EURAIL, EURO DOMINO (valid until 29.07.2007), BIJ, BIGT, RAIL PLUS, GREECE-ITALY PASS, RIT, BALKAN FLEXIPASS, GREEK FLEXIPASS (RAIL N’ FLY), VERGINA FLEXIPASS and DB AUTOZUG tickets.

Holders of the above offers/cards may travel with the Group’s ships, namely Superfast Ferries and Blue Star Ferries. Once a specific sea route has been paid for at the original place of purchase, the traveler is only liable for port dues, high or shoulder season supplement, fuel surcharge and accommodation upgrades. Holders of EURAIL “Greece” pass, EURAIL “Italy” Pass, INTER RAIL “Greece” pass, INTER RAIL “Italy” pass, BIJ, BIGT, RIT, RAIL PLUS, BALKAN FLEXIPASS, GREEK FLEXIPASS, VERGINA FLEXIPASS and DB AUTOZUG tickets pay also for the crossing at reduced rates.

All above mentioned offers/cards may travel in all BSF domestic routes, with a 30% reduction on 2008 passenger strategic fares provided that the respective rail passengers have already realized a crossing in the Adriatic Sea routes by the vessels of Attica Group namely Superfast Ferries and Blue Star Ferries.

Accommodation upgrades can be arranged by the port offices or the Chief Purser on board. To obtain one of the above railway passes please contact directly any OSE* train station, or any local travel agent cooperating with OSE*. If you happen to be abroad, you can obtain your railway pass at any train station, or licensed agency in Europe.
